“Who’s event did you say? I don’t remember who that is. She looks just like all those other online entrepreneurs.”
Have you noticed how all the big names in online business are starting to look the same:
- The bright shift dresses
- The glamorous photoshoot with a laptop and latte
- The girly-swirly fonts on their website
If you want to stand out it’s time to differentiate yourself from the rest, without having to change everything around completely. You don’t have to turn into a freak or dress like a maniac. Instead of ditching your brand and your style, you simply give it a powerful fuel injection.
This is exactly what Madonna has been doing for decades. For every new album she created she had an exciting new look, but she was still 100% Madonna. Her new look created a highly addictive buzz and we all just HAD to have that album.
Maybe it’s time for a refresh of YOUR style before your next launch.
The way to add some rocket fuel to your brand and style is to use Hilde’s Style Baby Technique.
And this baby is made like all the rest of them:
Now we have to send someone on a blind date.
Let me introduce:
Your Style Mama and her Rebel Boyfriend
Your Style Mama is your current beautiful style. It’s gorgeous but also starting to look a bit boring. It’s clearly in need of fresh new ideas.
I’m sure you have some of these basics in your closet:
- Basic tank top/T-shirt/sweater
- Basic pants/skirt
- Basic blazer or other jackets
Adequate but boring!
But who’s the Rebel Boyfriend?
It’s, of course, a tall handsome stranger who’s got a look that’s so different from what we see in online business that it would make a huge splash.
He could be the creative type in vintage clothes, ethnic jewelry, and wacky colors or he could be an astronaut, an actor, or a cartoon character.
Guess what! I found someone MUCHO INSPIRING ladies!
Kinda short but amazing on the dance floor.
His fashion sense might reveal that he spent too much time in Vegas, but I’ll give the guy a chance. At least he’s got Versace on the floor.
So today’s Rebel Boyfriend is…..
Check out what I found in his closet:
Oooh my! That’s a lot of GOLD Bruno!
Don’t you go wearing that all at once.
Still, If you’re sexy then flaunt it 😉
You might think Bruno’s a bit over the top but let me tell you:
His closet is exactly that sparkly Saturday night style you need to spice up your mundane Monday morning wardrobe.
Time to shake that booty and make it happen.
Are you ready to make a Style Baby?
Check out this pimped up version of the pretty basics after I raided Bruno:
Sleek style! I can definitely imagine Cameron Diaz wearing this.
A blazer can be used to make any outfit look polished and put together: even rough jeans or a disco queen top in 25-carat gold.
If you have basic black pants and a nice fitting jacket then simply add the following:
- MTV-babe type top in metallic or glitter.
- Your wildest bag or jewelry.
- Metallic or sparkly shoes ranging from comfy sneakers to “carry me to the taxi please” stilettos.
Oooh, I wanna do it again. Let’s make another Style Baby!
Don’t tell Bruno, but I managed to steal a certain little something before I was locked out of heaven – I mean his wardrobe.
His Bomber jacket!
THIS is my favorite new trend and I personally own several of them. They come in all sorts of cool new prints and colors and instantly upgrade your outfit from Has Been to Happening.
All you need is a:
- Basic tops such as a T-shirt or sweater.
- Basic bottom such as plain pants or a skirt.
- Your young ToyBoy’s bomber jacket (just kidding ladies. They’ve got them at Oasis, Zara, French Connection, HM, and top designers too.)
I LOVE bomber jackets with knee-length pencil skirts since it reminds me of that slim, sexy 50’s silhouette from Grease. It’s also the most figure-flattering bottom in the universe because it works for every single body type.
One more please Hilde!
OK then – but let’s make it so simple that even Stevie Wonder could style you with this technique:
He sure loves opulent Italian design as we can see from these accessories.
This look is usually a bit too much for my taste but after creating this outfit I changed my mind.
Paired with ultrabasic clothes in black (or white) the wild prints and colors really stand out. Best of all: you might find accessories like these in your mother or grandmother’s closet.
Now you’ve seen three outfits that strike that perfect balance between looking too plain or too crazy.
Best of all: it’s super easy for you to use the same techniques to glam up YOUR existing wardrobe.
You might have to tweak a little bit if you notice that you end up looking a bit too corporate or a bit too relaxed.
Just mix and match from your Mama and Papa’s clothes and you’ll end up with a super stylish look that’s the perfect mix between creativity and professionalism.
Here’s how to make you own Style Baby:
“Oh wow, Hilde. Love your Style Baby Technique but I have no idea how to get started.”
No worries my dear. I’ve got you!
It’s time to stop looking like a cookie-cutter version of your competitor and instead look like a unique version of yourself.
Don’t miss the opportunity to use clothes as a form of self-expression and to tell a story about who you are and what you stand for.
THIS is what marketing is all about.
To inspire you I have these 10 outfit templates where you can ransack your wardrobe, find the stuff that’s really drab and give it an amazing twist:
